Our Story
Born out of a passion for innovation and storytelling, we launched in 2024 to reimagine how South Asian classical arts are presented and experienced. Collaboration lies at the heart of our vision as we explore new formats, experiment with creative partnerships, and design immersive experiences that inspire and connect. While our work is just beginning, we are excited to grow into a hub for vibrant artistic expression by building relationships with artists, theaters, and organizations. If you share our passion for creativity and connection, we’d love to collaborate and bring this vision to life.
Art as Experience
Janya creates moments that invite audiences to listen, reflect, and feel — transforming performance into shared experience. Our programs are designed to connect people not only to art, but to the ideas and emotions that live within it.
For & By Artists
We collaborate with artists across disciplines to develop meaningful, well-supported platforms for their work. From concerts and in-house productions to beyond, we want to create space for creativity, experimentation, and exchange.
Designed with Care
Every element — stage design, marketing, audience flow, Q&As, and more— is crafted intentionally. Our approach to curation values both artistic integrity and audience experience, ensuring each program feels personal, professional, and purposeful.
Evolving Forms
Traditions evolve when they meet new perspectives. We explore how classical forms can engage with the present — not by changing what they are, but by deepening how they are seen, heard, and understood.
Our Team!
Meet the (tiny but mighty) team — it’s just us for now, but we’re always looking for passionate folks to grow with us.

Advisory Board
Supporters
We are grateful to the mentors, friends, volunteers, and supporters whose quiet (and loud) encouragement and wise counsel keep this dream moving forward.
